Rouleur Derby Report No. 73

Friday, April 19, 2013

In this Rouleur Derby Report:

1. L-B-L and the end of the Spring Classics

2. On to Italy

********************************************

1. L-B-L AND THE END OF THE SPRING CLASSICS

Liège-Bastogne-Liège doesn't quite stir the spirit like Flanders or Paris-Roubaix, but it is a Monument nonetheless, so picking a winner this Sunday will bring a 25 percent bonus. World champion Philippe Gilbert (9/2) is the current favorite, but otherwise it's a wide-open race, so there could be a big pay day to come.

This race will close the spring classics, so this is your first chance to shore up your standing in the Spring Classics contest, for which there is a $50 prize. Check out current standings at http://rouleurderby.com/rd/contest/spring-classics-2013/roi

2. ON TO ITALY

We then take a breather from the excitement of one-day racing and turn our attention to our first Grand Tour, the Giro d'Italia, which starts May 4. Expect a wide array of propositions, and remember that even if you fared poorly during the classics, there will be a $50 prize for performance during the Giro.

Have fun, play well, tell a friend,

Luke
