In this Rouleur Derby Report:
1. Giro rest day
2. A cool new chart for you
3. Rouleur Derby at the Tour of California
1. GIRO REST DAY
Here we are on the Giro d’Italia's first meaningful rest day, which means it's time for a rest day special: Knowing what we know now, who will win?
Rodriguez looks to be in control with one week to go, but there are many riders within striking distance.
Deadline for betting is tonight.
There's also a proposition for Sunday's final time trial:
These will probably be the final Giro propositions, so if you haven't yet made the minimum 10 bets/400 points to be eligible for the $50 Giro contest, best hop on that action now.
Very few bets have been resolved, but at this point ALS leads the competition with a 35% return on investment.
2. A COOL NEW CHART FOR YOU
Curious how you've fared over the season?
Want to compare yourself to your favorite nemesis?
Do you like moving your mouse over lines and seeing them change color?
Then check out this chart I made showing each player's progress over the season: http://rouleurderby.com/rd/scores/
3. ROULEUR DERBY AT THE TOUR OF CALIFORNIA
I was not able to watch Sunday's stage, but I was shocked and delighted to see Rouleur Derby mentioned by none other than all-star commentator @mmmaiko, who noticed someone holding a Rouleur Derby Sign at the Tour of California: https://twitter.com/#!/mmmaiko/status/204272547322265601
Sure enough, Rouleur Derby patron HornyforHorner (3,430 points, 4th place) made the trek to California to photobomb the race, Dirk Hofman-style. Check it out: http://rouleurderby.com/site_media/gr/atoc.jpg
I'm not sure what's more awesome: That HornyforHorner did us this honor, or that @mmmaiko noticed.
Thanks, HornyforHorner. And if the rest of you are not yet following @mmmaiko on Twitter, get on that. She provides some of the best cycling commentary around. (Be warned, she gets a little blue.)
Have fun, play well, tell a friend,
