In this Rouleur Derby Report:

1. Sprint Classics: We have a winner!

2. Giro!

********************************************

1. SPRINT CLASSICS: WE HAVE A WINNER!

It was a sad thing indeed this Sunday to wake up and not have any Spring Classics to look forward to. The week before, Maxim Iglinsky closed out our season with a surprise win at Liège-Bastogne-Liège. He was not expected to be a contender, so he paid out 6.5-1 for anyone who bet on "Other."

The big winner of the day, however, was Chicago's own PinkPanther, who stood pat going into L-B-L, hoping his 97% return on investment would be good enough to take our $75 Spring Classics prize. It was, and he barely edged out AlbertoBonito, who finished in 2nd place with a 95% return.

2. GIRO!

And now we start anew with Saturday's Giro. Didn't do so hot during the classics? No matter: Since our contest prizes are awarded by percentage, not points, everyone has the same shot at winning.

The Giro has a $50 prize. To be eligible, you must place at least 10 bets during the Giro and risk at least 400 points.

The main Giro proposition carries with it a 25% bonus. Michele Scarponi is currently the favorite at 4-1.

And there's a host of other side bets, including: Will Taylor Phinney place in the top 5 in Saturday's prologue? How many Italians will place in the top 3? And the ever popular, Will a doping scandal force a rider out?

Have fun, play well, tell a friend,
