Rouleur Derby Report No. 39

Monday, July 18, 2011

In this Rouleur Derby Report:

1. No rest for the wicked

1. NO REST FOR THE WICKED

Just a quick reminder that on this second of two Tour de France rest days, Rouleur Derby offers a "third chance" special to predict the winner. The list of contenders is short, so the odds are, too, but it gives you a chance to scrape back some of those points you put on Wiggo and Horner. The deadline is tonight at midnight.

There are also wagers being taken on the Tour's final three stages: Friday's stage up Alpe d'Huez, Saturday's time trial and Sunday's final gallop down the Champs-Élysées.

Note that Levi Leipheimer was left off the list of tour contenders in the time trial. After not seeing Radio Shack in any breakaways or in any final selections, our bookmakers mistakenly concluded the entire time had packed its bikes, refrigerators and white lunch bags and gone home. So consider Leipheimer as one of the "Other" options. (He should be well rested.)
